Principal Building Agreement 6.2 combined with the 2018 JBCC Nominated/Selected Subcontract Agreement 6.2 and the 2018 Minor Works Agreement 5.2

This seminar is the essential introduction to the JBCC contract documentation. The Principal Building Agreement (PBA) defines the primary contractual conditions applicable to the document suite. The presentation is cross referenced to the Nominated / Selected Subcontract Agreement to illustrate the working relationship between the contractor and specialist contractors. Developers, professionals, contractors, subcontractors and others related to the building industry will gain an understanding of the agreements to enable them to competently administer a building contract. Delegates will receive a training manual containing notes dealing with applicable contract law matters and the three JBCC agreements, the presentation slides plus a reference copy of the PBA agreement and applicable contract data.

This seminar has been awarded:
1 CPD point by SAICE/ ECSA and SAIAT/ SACAP – 7 CPD hours by SACPCM and ASAQS/ SACQSP

Substitution of delegates is permitted – JBCC must be informed 48 hours before the seminar.
Cancellations in writing must be received at least five (5) working days before a seminar.
No refunds will be made for late cancellations or ‘no shows’ on the date of the seminar.
JBCC reserves the right to cancel any seminar – a full refund will be made to delegates who have paid.

Presenter:
The seminar presenter is Prof. Tinus Maritz, the acting CEO of the JBCC who has vast experience on the various editions JBCC published, having served as the ASAQS representative on the JBCC Technical Committee and Drafting Panel since the publication of the first edition in 1991.
